In Motorsport you’re always looking for small gains everywhere you can, and when it comes to braking efficiency, not only can it make a difference in your lap time, it could influence that dramatic overtake that grants you the win.

When we started looking into Halo By Orthene it was clear that their passion, expertise and vast experience could help us give our drivers the consistency and efficiency they need to win races. In testing and racing this year, we’ve seen superb heat resistance from Halo P1 under extreme conditions including at Le Mans, and we’re really happy with how it has performed again and again. We are excited about using P1 moving forwards to help us gain any small advantage possible!

We have been looking for ways to improve brake pedal stiffness and consistency, testing various options in fluid and system components.

Our testing showed that Halo P1 provided increased pedal stiffness and consistency over long runs, and the decision was made that we would use Halo P1 across all of our endurance racing activities. Our LMP2 team secured a class victory at Le Mans this year – Halo P1 gave our drivers a consistently stiff brake pedal feel throughout the race, and we are very happy to continue with Halo By Orthene and hopefully secure further victories this season.

GR Motosport have switched to Halo P1 brake fluid having previously used manufacturer recommended products in our British Superbike Championship efforts.

I finally had the chance to use Halo P1 at Autodrom Most in the EuroNASCAR series, and I’d have to say that I’m VERY pleased with the results!

The EuroNASCAR race cars are known for having quite small brakes for such a heavy race car. While this is by design to help improve racing quality, making sure you have a brake fluid that is up to the task of maintaining performance throughout a run. In addition, Autodrom Most has a handful of heavy braking zones and temperatures were well into the mid 80’s all weekend, so having a reliable brake fluid will do wonders.

In both races we saw minimal brake fade and I felt very confident on the pedal. Obviously throughout the race you’ll have to manage temps but while doing so I found myself not having a concern about the brakes whatsoever because the response was so positive.

Through an extensive test program of back-to-back comparisons, we were extremely impressed with the Halo P1 fluid.

Halo By Orthene have developed a brake fluid that excels in every aspect. Braking performance is improved, the compressibility of this fluid at high temperatures provides a much harder pedal for the driver.

Braking distances stay consistent with minimal fade, which inspires confidence in the driver to keep pushing in extreme conditions.

Braking is a crucial part of going fast and as we are always searching for ways to improve the car and lap times, also the brake fluid had to undergo testing.

We started testing with the big well-known brands and took this as a benchmark. When Halo P1 came across we were very sceptical as we thought it could not be better, but we were wrong.

The brake pedal travel is less, the pedal feel is better (even when the brake pads are getting thinner) and after a pitstop we could proceed racing directly with the same pedal feel as before.

Halo P1 will make the difference if you want the get the best performance from your braking system, like no other brand can.

We have worked with Orthene for many years and the service and this product is second to none. We have been testing this product in the BTCC since before commercial launch, and our drivers have always commented how great the braking system and longevity is in our BTCC car during the races.

We do not experience brake fade as we would using other known products in the marketplace, and the feel of the brake pedal is always good, this is in the main due to the superior compressibility of the fluid over a wide temperature range.

From a selfish perspective I was disappointed to hear that this fluid was now going to market as it will give our competitors the opportunity to have the same competitive advantage that we have had for some time, but now is the time to support our technical partner in talking about this revolutionary brake fluid.

Following a conversation with the team at Racing Import, who told me how impressive the performance of Halo P1 was following extensive testing, I am pleased to represent Halo By Orthene for the first time in ERC. Braking performance is critical, especially on fast tarmac stages such as the Barum rally, so I’m pleased to find an advantage for the forthcoming weekend!

Making the switch to Halo P1 has given us great confidence in our braking. We see a distinct increase in heat resistance which has translated to a real advantage in braking power and endurance.

We are able to achieve a shorter braking zone through increased confidence and modulation through the middle to end of braking.

After 8 hours of continuous racing, the Halo P1 fluid is just as strong at the end as it was at the beginning.
